yup, its all wet. dripping with liquin. underpainting is terra rosa and I use a transparent oxide red in the dark areas. I try and keep the underpainting/sketch thin so I can glob the color over the top. I ran out of oak panels and so now Im using gessoed masonite.

what do you paint on? Is that red in the background wet or dry?
